We talk a lot about food in the office, mainly what we’re eating and where. Inspired by our evening at Silo this month, here are some of our favourite sustainable spots.

32 Southwark St, London SE1 1TU

There is an unavoidable charm in the simplicity of Native. This Southwark eatery harks back to the caveman values, with weekly foraging trips to source lots of the wild ingredients that adorn their dishes. Native’s seasonal menu and paired back style make it another gem in South London’s foodie scene:

Somerset House, Lancaster Pl, London WC2R 1LA

Spring is the restaurant waging an incredibly chic war on plastic. Moved by the battle facing our oceans, head chef Skye Gyngell uses sustainable materials and seasonal produce to create subtle but inventive dishes from her Somerset House kitchen. The setting is amazing, and feels seriously stylish, it’s a favourite for dinner with friends:

Nest has held a special place in my heart since it opened a few years ago. Produce-driven with a one-meat mantra and a focus on slow food, these guys tick all the boxes. Not to mention they have now opened a second spot in Fulham, so now there really is no excuse if East London is your bag: or for those who prefer it out west:

Scout is the sister bar of its antipodean sibling, Scout Sydney. The décor is eye-wateringly cool and the menus have all the flair you’d expect. But the real winner here is the cocktails, carefully crafted cocktails from British Ecosystems:

Smithfield 26 St. John Street, London, EC1M 4AY

The original nose to tail eatery, these guys are the pioneers of the weird and wonderful meat dishes. Their mantra is simple, eat the whole animal; If you’ve not been, go and if you have been, go again, because it never disappoints

12A Newburgh St, Soho, London W1F 7RR

Antidote has been a little secret of mine for years and one I finally feel I am ready to share. It’s a bar that caters for every occasion; post shopping tipple, after work wine, friendly glass or even bottle. Just a minute from the buzz of Carnaby St, their entire wine list is made of biodynamic wines, and maybe it’s just me but I’ve never had a hangover from Antidote wine!

I’m including well kneaded for a few reasons, firstly, one of our chefs tried their pizza the other day and raved about it, and he’s never wrong! But also, I was really impressed by their social values; the food is locally sourced and their kitchen offers internships for marginalised inner-city kids, which is no mean feat for a small business, we salute and support:
